2019 Summer Undergrad1
CAP 400/Lecture/S101 - IC Capstone: Transhumanism | Credits 4.00
CAP 400 Integrative Core Capstone: Transhumanism; Building Better Humans. What does the future of humanity hold? Will we eliminate pain, sadness, and disease? Will we live forever? Will we upload our consciousness to computers? Will we build machines that look, act, and think like humans? Transhumanism is a movement to advance the human condition beyond its current mental and physical limitations. As we enhance our minds and bodies we will inevitably face numerous ethical concerns. This capstone will challenge students to consider how their future lives and careers will be impacted by the coming wave of superhumans. Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Second Year Written and Oral Communication (WOC) Portfolio, and all other Integrative Core requirements. 4 Semester Hours.
